Almost 300 civilians are buried in a "mass grave" in Bucha. British Foreign Office gathers evidence of Russian war crimes in Ukraine

After the liberation of Bucha, 280 people have already been buried in mass graves. This was reported to AFP by Mayor Anatoliy Fedoruk.

"We have already buried 280 people in mass graves in Bucha," city mayor Anatoly Fedoruk told AFP by telephone. According to him, the streets of the heavily destroyed city are strewn with corpses.

Fedoruk said all these people were shot, killed in the back of the head. According to him, the victims were men and women, and he saw a 14-year-old boy among the dead. Many of the bodies were wearing white armbands to show they were unarmed.

"There were still cars on the streets of the city with 'whole families killed: children, women, grandmothers, men. The corpses were still in the streets because the bomb squad hadn't worked there yet," Fedoruk added.

He claims that some of the victims tried to cross the Buchanka River into Ukrainian-controlled territory and were killed.

"These are consequences of the Russian occupation," he said.

Meanwhile, Britain is gathering evidence for the International Criminal Court on the abuse of civilians in Bucha and other Ukrainian cities. The head of the British Foreign Office, Liz Truss, said this on her Twitter.

"Outraged by the atrocities in Bucha and other cities in Ukraine. The report of Russian troops attacking innocent civilians is disgusting. The UK is working with others to gather evidence and support the International Criminal Court to investigate war crimes. Those responsible will be brought to justice," she said.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry said that Irpen, Bucha, Gostomel, and the entire Kiev region had been liberated from Russian occupants.

On April 2, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President, reported in his Twitter account that people with their hands tied were shot dead in the streets of Bucha.

Also, dead bodies of civilians were found near a highway 20 kilometers from Kiev. There were 4-5 dead naked women lying under a blanket, which the Russian barbarians tried to burn on the side of the road.
