As a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 158 children have already died and more than 258 have been injured. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
"More than 416 children have been injured in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of our country. As of the morning of April 3, 2022, the official number of child victims has not changed - 158 dead. The number of wounded has increased - there are more than 258," the report said.
As noted, this data is inconclusive, as search and rescue work in places of active hostilities in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories continues. In particular, in Mariupol, in certain territories of Kyiv, Chernihiv and Luhansk regions.
According to official data from juvenile prosecutors, the most affected were children in Kyiv region - 75, Donetsk region - 73, Kharkiv region - 56, Chernihiv region - 47, Mykolaiv region - 32, Luhansk region - 31, Zaporizhia region - 22, Kherson region - 29, the capital - 16, Sumy region - 16, Zhitomir region - 15.
On March 30, a 14-year-old girl was seriously wounded as a result of shelling in a village in the Bashtansk district of Mykolaiv region.
On April 1, an explosion of an unknown device on a pontoon bridge near the village of Priputny in Chernihiv region killed two people and injured two others, one of whom was a teenager.
