153 children have died as a result of Russian armed aggression in Ukraine, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.

 

"Almost 400 children have suffered in Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian armed aggression. Of these, 153 were killed and more than 245 wounded," the report said.

 

As indicated, work continues to establish all data on the injured children in places of active hostilities and in the territories temporarily occupied by the enemy. In particular, in the city of Mariupol, in some areas of Kyiv, Chernihiv and Luhansk regions.

 

According to the data received, children suffered the most in Kyiv region - 73, Donetsk region - 65, Kharkiv region - 53, Chernihiv region - 43, Mykolaiv region - 30, Luhansk region - 31, Zaporizhzhya region - 22, Kherson region - 29, capital city - 16, Sumy region - 16, Zhitomyr region - 15.

 

According to the UCP, on March 19, the Russian military fired on convoys of civilian vehicles that were evacuating the "green corridor" from the city of Mariupol, killing a father and child.

 

On March 31, a 2-year-old girl from the town of Lisichansk, Luhansk Region, who had been seriously wounded along with her 7-year-old brother the day before, died of severe wounds.

 

On March 30, two children were wounded as a result of shelling in Chernihiv Region.

 

On March 31, in Donetsk region, five minors were taken to a medical facility as a result of shelling.

 

Because of the bombardment and shelling, 859 educational institutions were damaged. Eighty-three of them were completely destroyed. The worst situation is in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Kherson, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv regions and the city of Kyiv, the UCP pointed out.

 

Note that since the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine killed 1232 civilians, were wounded - 1935. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

 

According to the UN, most of the casualties were caused by explosive weapons such as heavy artillery, multiple rocket launchers, rockets, and air strikes.
