Chernihiv completely demolished, more than 200 civilians killed - the mayor on the situation in the city

According to Atroshenko, apartments, residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, stadiums, and children's libraries were bombed.

Russia is deliberately shelling residential areas and civilians in Chernihiv. Now it is easier to count the buildings in the city that have not suffered from enemy shelling.

This was said by the mayor of Chernihiv Vladislav Atroshenko at a briefing on March 26.

"It is already easier for us today to count those houses that miraculously have not suffered from shelling. We have the whole city completely demolished. Apartments, residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, stadiums, children's libraries were bombed... We have at least 200 people killed, civilians. People standing in line for bread were killed by a shell. What military infrastructure was there? It was a store," he noted.

In addition, Chernihiv is in an operational encirclement, the enemy deliberately destroyed the single bridge that connected the city to the Kiev direction. The city has neither a humanitarian corridor nor an opportunity to evacuate the wounded or bring humanitarian aid or medicines.
