The Verkhovna Rada has supported the bill to introduce criminal liability for illegal photo and video recording of the movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and international military assistance to Ukraine. According to people's deputy of the faction "Golos" Yaroslav Zheleznyak in Telegram, the relevant document № 7189 at a meeting on Thursday was supported by 346 parliamentarians.
The bill adds a new article 114-2 to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides criminal liability for intentional and illegal dissemination of information about the direction, movement or location of international military assistance to Ukraine, as well as information about the movement, movement or location of the AFU or other military formations of Ukraine.
Dissemination of information about the direction or movement of international military aid to Ukraine if it has not been made publicly available by the General Staff of the AFU or without receiving written permission from the General Staff for its distribution, committed under martial law or state of emergency, will be punished by imprisonment for a term of three to five years.
At the same time the illegal dissemination of information about the movement, movement or location of the AFU or other military formations is punishable by five to eight years' imprisonment.
The same actions committed by a group of people by prior agreement, or for mercenary motives, or with the purpose of providing such information to the aggressor state or illegal armed groups are punishable by imprisonment from eight to twelve years.
