Because of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, 117 children were killed and more than 155 wounded. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

"As of the morning of March 22, 2022, 117 children were killed and more than 155 wounded. Children were most affected in the Kyiv region - 58, Kharkiv - 40, Chernihiv - 31, Donetsk - 30, Mykolaiv - 24, the city of Kyiv - 16, Zhytomyr - 15, Kherson - 15 and Sumy - 14 regions," the report said.

In Kharkiv region, a Russian tank shot up a car carrying a family with two children. The family shouted that they were civilians and waved a white flag, but in vain. The parents and a 9-year-old girl were killed and a 17-year-old boy was wounded.

As a result of the shelling of the village of Konstantinovka in Mykolaiv district of Mykolaiv region, houses were destroyed and the burnt bodies of three people were found under the rubble, including a 7-year-old child.

On March 21, 2022, occupants shelled evacuation buses with children from Mariupol. Four children were taken to hospital. Three children came under fire in Polohovsky district of Zaporizhzhia region, another child in the village of Kamensky. Two children are in serious condition.

It is also known that as a result of bombardment and shelling, 548 educational institutions were damaged, 72 of which were completely destroyed. Most of the damage occurred in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions and in the city of Kyiv. In addition, more than 40 institutions for children were destroyed, including hospitals, art schools, sports facilities, and libraries, the UCP said.
