The commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, urged politicians who are in the rear and talk about the operational situation and allegedly preparing to surrender the country not to split Ukraine with such statements.
"I would like to address politicians who, while in the rear cities, talk about 'treason' and give 'assessments' of the operational situation. With your irresponsible statements, for example, that the enemy allegedly took something without problems or that the surrender of the country is allegedly being prepared, you insult our soldiers," the AFU commander-in-chief said in a statement.
The military commander also added that "The defense forces are heroically resisting the enemy, which was called the second army in the world... It is the 24th day of our resistance to full-scale aggression. A resistance made possible by national unity, our training and motivation."
Zaluzhny urged: "I appeal to you: don't humiliate our defenders with your 'expert assessments.' You are not the ones on the first line of defense right now. And not your children."
The Chief of the AFU added: "Everyone has to do his own job. We defend Ukraine. You take care of its development and do not interfere with us. I invite those who wish to defend the country to join the ranks of the Armed Forces. I urge you not to split the state!"
