Russia is ready to resume the security dialogue with the US. But "the configuration has changed.

The Russian Federation is ready to resume dialogue with the United States on so-called "security guarantees. But because of the war against Ukraine, "the configuration has changed.

This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov in an interview on Channel One.

In particular, when asked whether Moscow's proposals on security guarantees sent by the United States and NATO remained in force, he said that "I would not say that proposals of this kind remain in force."

"Still, the configuration has completely changed, the situation is radically different now. And the question is to ensure that the goals that our leadership has set before the special military operation are achieved," Ryabkov noted.

At the same time, he stressed that Moscow is determined to restore dialogue with Washington on strategic stability.

Earlier, US President Joe Biden said that Washington would respond to any threat by Russia to NATO countries, even if it leads to World War III.
