The Russian side refuses to have direct talks between President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky. Moscow believes that contacts between the delegations of both countries are sufficient.

This is reported by the Telegram edition "Meduza".

According to Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, there will be no direct talks between the presidents.

"Yesterday the second round of negotiations took place. Now it's turn for these talks. There is an opportunity for the delegation to convey to each other all elements of the positions without unnecessary intermediaries. Elements of our position have been brought to the attention of the Ukrainian side," he said.

Also, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitriy Peskov, said that negotiations between Russia and Ukraine over the war in the current situation should be held in silence and not subject to publicity. At the same time, he denied information that Russia had abandoned the goal of "denazification" of Ukraine.

This is reported by the pro-Kremlin publication TASS.

"The talks between Russia and Ukraine are not yet about documents, but there was an opportunity to convey to Kiev the Russian vision of solving the problems," Peskov said.

As a reminder, the second round of talks between Ukraine and Russia took place yesterday, which ended with almost no results.

So far, the parties have made progress only on the humanitarian issue. Ukraine and Russia agreed on the possibility of a temporary ceasefire to organize humanitarian corridors. A special communication channel will be created for interaction.
