This was stated by Lukashenko, as quoted by the press service of the head of state.
According to the President, Belarusian air defense means are put on alert in order to prevent stabbing in the back of the Russian troops.
"We cannot do it any other way. We are constantly waiting for provocations from the Western partners. Now in politics, now in economics, now in military matters," said Lukashenko.
He also said that Belarus is strengthening its southern border and deploying additional battalion groups there.
"Our generals have made some preventive steps and we are deploying 10 battalion tactical groups instead of 5. Tomorrow, day after tomorrow, we will deploy one or two battalion groups up to 10 on the southern border," said Lukashenko, as quoted by the state agency BelTA.
He claimed that there had been information that sabotage groups might attempt to enter Belarus from Ukrainian territory.
