During Russia's attack on Ukraine, saboteurs wanted to commit an act of terrorism at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Mikhail Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said this during a briefing.

"Several DRGs of the Russian Federation wanted to commit an act of terrorism at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, to cause a powerful environmental disaster," Podolyak said.

According to him, the Russian Federation wants to cause environmental destruction.
