As of 17:00, 59 enemy violations of the "silence regime" were recorded in Donbas. A Ukrainian serviceman was killed and another sustained combat injuries. This is reported by the press center of the OOS.
"As of 17:00 February 23, from the armed formations of the Russian Federation recorded 59 shelling, 54 of which with the use of heavy weapons," - said in the message.
It is also noted that as a result of the shelling a Ukrainian serviceman was wounded incompatible with life. Another serviceman of the AFU received combat injuries.
Russian-occupation troops shelled the positions of Ukrainian defenders near:
- Novotoshkovskoye five times - from BM-21 Grad, 122 mm artillery, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars.
- Zolote - from 122 mm artillery.
- twice in Popasna - from 122 mm artillery, 82 mm mortars.
- Seven times Yuzhnoye - with 122 mm artillery, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, rocket-propelled grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.
- Four times Peskov - from 122 mm artillery, 120 mm mortars, UAVs using VOG-17.
- Four times Svitlodarska - from 120 mm mortars, Schmel reactive infantry flamethrowers.
- 14 times Bogdanivka - from 122 mm artillery, 120 mm 82 mm mortars, BMP-1.
- Seven times Mariupol - from 122 mm artillery, 120 mm mortars, machine gun anti-tank and hand grenade launchers, BMP-1, large-caliber machine guns.
- Stanytsia Luhanska - from 122 mm artillery.
- Three times Schastia - from BM-21 "Grad", 120 mm and 82 mm mortars.
- Four times Avdiivka - from 120 mm mortars, recoilless anti-tank grenade launchers, automatic recoilless grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms.
- Five times at Marinka - from 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, machine-gun anti-tank grenade launchers.
- Granitny - from anti-tank missile systems.
Also Russian militants shelled a kindergarten in Zelenopolye, and in Mykolayivka wounded a civilian. This was reported by the police press service.
In the last seven days alone, 245 enemy attacks on civilian objects were recorded in the east of Ukraine.
