Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba discussed further practical strengthening of Ukraine's defense capabilities with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.
"The U.S. defense chief expressed unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and assured the U.S. of its readiness to further build up military and technical cooperation with Ukraine," the statement said.
In response, Kuleba expressed gratitude to the United States for supporting Ukraine and strengthening its armed forces.
The two ministers also discussed practical steps to defend Ukraine, in particular, the development of cooperation in the air and missile defense sectors.
