Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that all Kiev needs to do is to sit down at the negotiating table with the militants to reduce tension around Ukraine. Putin said this after talks with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, TASS reported.
"We have established with the president of Belarus that the key to restoring civil peace in Ukraine and relieving tensions around this country, is the implementation of the Minsk agreements. All Kiev needs to do is sit down at the negotiating table with representatives of Donbas and agree on political, military, economic and humanitarian measures to end this conflict. The sooner this happens, the better," Putin said.
Putin also noted that the situation in the Donetsk region is now fixed aggravation.
During a joint press conference with Putin, Lukashenko commented on the escalation in Donbas. "People there are already ready to flee from there and are probably already fleeing, this is not normal," Lukashenko said.
