Moscow talks about imposing sanctions against Britain

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia may impose sanctions against Britain as a retaliatory measure. This was reported by The Guardian.

This will happen if London nevertheless decides to impose restrictions against Moscow due to the risk of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Lavrov said that Russia hopes that other Western countries will not impose anti-Russian sanctions following Britain's example.

"If this law finally comes into force, I have no doubt whatsoever that our parliament will have every reason, yes, in general, it will be necessary to pass a similar law against those who are trying to make a career and gain ratings and popularity on the Russophobic path," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in a conversation with reporters.
