Ukraine has already recorded 4.42 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19, an increase of more than 40 thousand per day, February 9 - the third time since the beginning of the pandemic. According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, also the number of fatal cases in a day increased to 280.
"During the day on February 9 in Ukraine recorded 41,694 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19," - said in the Ministry of Health report.
Also over the past 24 hours:
hospitalized - 4,128 people;
lethal cases - 280;
recovered - 16,628 people.
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
4,421,741 people fell ill - 4,421,741;
3,729,976 people recovered;
102,167 deaths;
18,842,668 PCR tests were conducted.
Over the past 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Odesa (3,918) oblast, Kiev city (3,880), Zhytomyr (2,602), Dnipropetrovsk (2,420) and Lviv (2,280) oblasts.
According to Worldometer, a resource tracking the situation with coronavirus in the world, Ukraine is 18th in terms of prevalence and 16th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
Also according to the Ministry of Health, 70,678 people in Ukraine were vaccinated against COVID-19 during the day on February 9. The first dose was given to 21,367 people, the second dose to 29,487 people, an additional dose to 596 people and a booster dose to 19,228 people.
Also in Ukraine, only one region is in the "yellow" zone of epidemic danger, while others are in the "orange" and "red" zones because of the increased incidence of coronavirus. This is evidenced by the data of the Ministry of Health.
There are 21 regions in the orange zone and Kyiv, while the regions of Ivano-Frankivsk and Rivne are in the red zone. Poltava region is in the "yellow" quarantine zone.
