French President Emmanuel Macron expects to visit Ukraine and Russian Federation next week, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing the Elysee Palace.
"Macron will visit Russia on Feb. 7 and Ukraine on Feb. 8," the report said.
Earlier this week, the French president said he did not rule out a visit to Moscow in the near future.
"The priority for me now on the Ukrainian issue and the dialogue with Russia is de-escalation and finding political solutions to resolve the crisis," the French leader said.
"I will continue exchanges at the same time with President Putin and President Zelensky, and depending on the result in the coming hours, I absolutely do not rule out any initiative or trip. And I will also talk to President Biden in the coming hours," Macron said Wednesday.
