Yesterday Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with US President Joe Biden. The head of state announced this on Twitter.
"There was a long phone conversation with Biden. Discussed ongoing diplomatic efforts on de-escalation and agreed on joint actions for the future. Thanked President Joe Biden for continued military assistance. We also discussed possibilities for financial support for Ukraine," Zelensky wrote.

It should be noted that this phone call was already the second in January and the third in the last two months. The intensity of the talks is connected primarily with the accumulation of Russian troops around Ukraine and the threat of a full-scale Russian invasion.
