More than 20 thousand sick people a day - the statistics are steadily creeping up

Ukraine has already recorded 3.81 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19, an increase of more than 20 thousand a day, January 20. As noted in the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, this is the highest value since the beginning of January and an anti-record since the beginning of winter as a whole.

 

Of those who fell ill in the past 24 hours: children - 2,464, health workers - 429. "During the day on January 20 in Ukraine recorded 20,156 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19," - said in the message.

 

Before that, the daily incidence rate of 20,000 cases was recorded in Ukraine in late November, according to data from the map of the SNBO system to monitor the spread of the epidemic.

 

Also in the past 24 hours:

 

- hospitalized - 2,226 people;

 

- fatal cases - 150;

 

- recovered - 4,486 people.

 

During the entire duration of the pandemic in Ukraine:

 

- got sick - 3,819,538 people;

 

- 3 576 268 people recovered;

 

- 98 993 lethal cases;

 

- 17,389,831 PCR tests were conducted.

 

During the last 24 hours the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Ivano-Frankivsk (2427), Lviv (1989), Kyiv City (1552), Sumy (1158) and Ternopil (1053) oblasts.

 

According to the Worldometer, Ukraine ranks 17th in prevalence and 16th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
