Ukraine has already registered 3.76 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19, an increase of more than 8.5 thousand a day, January 17.

As noted in the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the figures have increased by almost 70% against the previous day. The number of deaths also doubled against the previous day. Of those who fell ill in the past day: children - 811, medical workers - 304.

"During the day on January 17 in Ukraine recorded 8,558 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19," - said in the report of the Ministry of Health.

Also over the past 24 hours:

- hospitalized - 1,125 people;

- fatal cases - 188;

- recovered - 5,761 persons.

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

- fell ill - 3,768,088 persons;

- 3,561,923 persons recovered;

- 98,549 deaths;

- 17,220,495 PCR tests were conducted.

During the last 24 hours the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kiev city (972), Lviv (870), Kharkiv (678), Ivano-Frankivsk (640) and Chernivtsi (475) regions.
