New York City will pay $100 for a booster dose of vaccine

In New York City, to increase the rate of vaccination against coronavirus, each person vaccinated with a booster dose will be given $100. This is reported by the UNN, citing the AP.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said that the city will not impose a lockdown because of the spread of COVID-19.

In his opinion, the most effective instrument of combating the pandemic remains vaccination. De Blasio announced that New Yorkers who revaccinate (administer a booster dose) will be offered a cash reward of $100.

The offer runs from December 21 through the end of 2021.

As noted, the city has previously had similar incentives for administering the first dose of vaccine.

Recall that since December 13, due to an outbreak of a new strain of coronavirus Omicron, residents of the American state of New York were required to wear masks in enclosed public places.
