More disinformation: the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry commented on Shoygu's statement about the U.S. "provocations" with chemical weapons in Donbas

The statements of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu about the US PMCs, which are allegedly preparing "provocations with chemical weapons in Donbas" are another examples of massive Russian disinformation. About this told the UNN speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko.

"We categorically reject insinuations in the direction of Ukraine, which were sounded during a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The defense minister's statements about alleged chemicals, instructors of American private military companies, shelling of residential areas in Donbas are another examples of massive Russian disinformation. Russia continues to create information cover for possible further provocations of its troops on Ukrainian territory," Nikolenko said.

The Foreign Ministry urged the Russian leadership to stop its hostile rhetoric and ultimatum language.

"Moscow's return to a constructive course will indeed confirm the Russian president's declared desire to resolve the conflict by political and diplomatic methods at the collegium meeting. The first step should be the beginning of Russia's implementation of the Minsk agreements and the agreements of the leaders of the Normandy format," the speaker said.

Nikolenko stressed that the termination of Russian armed aggression against Ukraine and Russia's rejection of the logic of confrontation would be the best guarantee of security on the European continent.

Recall that the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense Sergey Shoigu said that private military companies (PMCs) of the United States allegedly "prepare a provocation with chemical components in eastern Ukraine".

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that the statement of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu about the US PMCs, which allegedly prepare "provocations with chemical weapons in Donbas" is untrue.

In addition, Putin said at a meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation that Russia does not want armed conflicts.
