Ukraine has received the full support of all countries present at the sixth summit of the Eastern Partnership in Brussels. President Volodymyr Zelensky said this during an interaction with media representatives on the margins of the summit, reports the Official Internet Office of the President of Ukraine.
"For us it is very important that the Joint declaration contains several fundamental things - this is on the "Associated Trio" (Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine), as well as on security issues - with regard to our region and Europe as a whole. So that the issue of security is reflected in the declaration. This is what it will be," the Head of State said.
The President of Ukraine noted that during talks with all partners he emphasized the danger of escalation on the part of Russia and the need for a response if such escalation follows.
"Five ways of responding to a possible escalation are being considered. We said our state does not have five responses - we will have only one response, and we demonstrated it in 2014 when we defended our territory with weapons in hand. But we emphasize once again that we are exactly for a peaceful settlement of the war in the east of our state," Vladimir Zelensky stressed.
