The U.S. offered Putin two ways to develop the situation around Ukraine

The US embassy in Ukraine believes that it is too early to predict Russia's further actions with regard to Ukraine. The Americans have suggested two ways of developing the situation.

This was reported by the speaker of the US Embassy in Ukraine Daniel Langenkamp in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine.

According to him, the U.S. offered President Putin two clear paths.

"Further aggression against Ukraine, which would entail very high costs for Russia because we would take drastic measures that we intentionally have not used before, or the alternative, which is dialogue and diplomacy. We very much hope that Putin will choose the second way," Langenkemp said.

At the same time, he said, the U.S. will draw conclusions on the real actions that Russia will take in the coming weeks.

As a reminder, the situation around the Ukrainian borders remains tense. According to the Defense Ministry, Russia has not yet started to return its troops from the borders of Ukraine.

As RBK-Ukraine wrote, Reznikov believes that Russia's invasion of Ukraine will move the world into a new era.
