In Ukraine, 12,376 cases of COVID-19 in a day

Ukraine has already recorded 3.53 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19, an increase of almost 12.4 thousand a day, December 8, which is more against the previous day. Of those sick overnight: 1,078 children and 194 health workers.

The number of those who recovered is higher than the number of new cases. This UNN reports with reference to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

"During the day of December 8 in Ukraine recorded 12,376 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19," - said in the Ministry of Health.

Also in the past 24 hours:

 - hospitalized - 2,449 people;

 - fatalities - 465;

 - 24,547 people recovered.

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

 - got sick - 3,532,357 people;

 - 3,109,423 people recovered;

 - 89,901 deaths;

 - PCR testing - 16,199,355.

Also the Ministry of Health reported: "On December 8, 178,796 people in Ukraine were vaccinated against COVID-19. The first dose was given to 69,267 people, with 109,529 fully immunized."

Meanwhile, the new strain of coronavirus has been confirmed in 43 people in 19 states in the United States. Mostly the virus was detected in young people. More than three-quarters of them are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and one-third have already had an additional vaccination.

Most patients with Omicron have a mild course of the disease. Their most common symptoms are cough, stuffy nose, and fatigue. One patient was hospitalized, no deaths were registered.
