Two powerful explosions and gunfire occurred outside a military hospital in Kabul, the Afghan capital. At least 19 people were killed. This is reported by Aamaj News.
The explosions occurred at the entrance to the Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan military hospital in Kabul. They were followed immediately by gunfire.
According to media reports, the attack was carried out by militants of the terrorist organization Islamic State. Eyewitnesses claim several IS fighters broke into the hospital building and fought with Taliban members.
The explosions and gunfire killed at least 19 people and wounded 43.
