Illegal armed groups are obstructing the work of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. About this on the air of the TV channel "House" said the representative of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG, the representative of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich, reports UNN .
"Representatives of the OSCE said that they are primarily interested in obstructing the work of the OSCE SMM, which are arranged by the Russian armed formations and occupation "administrations", - said Arestovich.
The issue was raised during a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group. The statistics were provided by a representative of the OSCE SMM.
"Since July 2020, since the conclusion of additional ceasefire measures, there have been almost 800 cases of obstruction of OSCE SMM patrols. Of these, only 70 were from the Ukrainian side, 5 in the "gray zone" and another all by Russian formations. Not only that, they recently took OSCE SMM representatives hostage and blocked them in Horlivka and Donetsk.
This is a de facto seizure by armed people, restricting their movement - these are methods of international terrorism," Arestovich noted.
