Munich Security Conference will be held in person for the first time in two years

The Munich Security Conference will take place on the 18th to the 20th of February.

For the last two years, the event has been held in the absentee format. In 2022, it will be in full-time format, said the conference's head Wolfgang Ischinger.

"The need for renewed personal contact is particularly great among those who make decisions in foreign policy, because very often they are dealing with sensitive issues," said Ischinger.

According to Ischinger, the future federal German authorities are expected to present their own order of the day as regards foreign policy. This could also apply to the ministers of foreign affairs, defense and other members of the Cabinet of Ministers," said Lönschinger.

In 2021, the conference was held in virtual mode and was extremely shortened.
