Gas filling of the first line of the «Nord Stream-2» gas pipeline was completed as of October 18. The pressure is enough to start deliveries.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the operator of the «Nord Stream-2» AG project.
According to the operator, the thread is filled with so-called technical gas in the amount of approximately 177 million cubic meters, which provides a pressure level of 103 bar in the pipeline.
«This pressure is enough to start transporting gas in the future,» the statement said.
At the same time commissioning work on the second thread continues, according to «Nord Stream-2» AG.
It will be recalled that Russian Ambassador to Britain Andrei Kelin said that the «Nord Stream-2» gas pipeline was ready for launch, but required permission from Germany.
It should be noted that the US State Department has begun work on preparing sanctions against «Nord Stream-2».
