Ukraine registers the highest incidence among children since the beginning of the pandemic

Scientists in Ukraine note a high incidence of COVID-19 among children. At present, it has exceeded previous periods for the entire pandemic.


This is evidenced by the forecast of the COVID-19 epidemic in Ukraine on October 13-26, 2021, which is published on the website of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

 

«The incidence among children is the highest in the pandemic, and the intensity of their hospitalization is approaching absolute maximums,» the forecast said.

 

In addition, it is reported that the situation in Zaporizhia, Odesa, Luhansk, Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr and Kharkiv oblasts is threatening in terms of the availability of equipped bed stock in hospitals and mortality rates.

 

The National Academy of Sciences reports that by the end of October the number of new COVID-19 cases in Ukraine may exceed 20,000. Now the current autumn wave has already exceeded last year's.
