The New York Times: Russia increasingly disrupts operation of Starlink in Ukraine

Russia increasingly disrupts the work of Ukraine's Starlink. This was reported by The New York Times.

For the first time, it happened on the morning of the Russian offensive near Kharkiv, which disoriented the Armed Forces. And then it happened again.

It should be noted that Starlink is essential for soldiers' communication, intelligence gathering, and drone strikes.

According to Ukrainian officials, the Russians have deployed more powerful electronic weapons and sophisticated tools to degrade the quality of Starlink, which “poses a serious threat to Ukraine.” This “could mark a tactical shift in the conflict, highlighting Ukraine's vulnerability and dependence on services provided by Musk's company,” the NYT notes.

Russia confirms that it has developed capabilities to counter Starlink.

Ukraine is communicating with SpaceX management to resolve the problems, said Minister of Digital Transformation Fedorov.

“We are losing the battle in the electronic warfare,” said the deputy commander of the Achilles battalion of the 92nd Ajax regiment.

Fedorov says the quality of Starlink service should improve soon.
