The Vovchansk city executive administration has declared a critical situation in the city due to continuous shelling by Russian forces, as reported in a telethon.
Tamaz Gambarashvili, the head of the Vovchansk CMA, noted that the current situation is no less critical than in previous days, as the city is almost completely destroyed.
He emphasized that although the Ukrainian Armed Forces are successfully defending the city and have control over it, clashes with small groups of Russians continue on the outskirts of the city.
Gambarashvili also noted that fighting on the outskirts of Vovchansk continues unabated, and that shelling of the city has become a regular occurrence.
The government is now focusing on evacuating residents, providing assistance to those who cannot leave the city on their own.
