"In the morning, the enemy attacked our Cherkasy region. A complex air defense system worked against a high-speed air target," Taburets said.
According to preliminary information, a critical infrastructure facility in Cherkasy district was damaged.
"There were no casualties. So far, six people have sought medical assistance. All services are at the scene," said the head of the RMA.
Later, Illia Yevlash, spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, said during a telethon that the enemy fired one missile in the morning, preliminary, an Iskander-K missile at the city of Smila in Cherkasy region.
"Civilian infrastructure was hit, the logistics railroad connection was also damaged. In addition, the strike damaged administrative buildings, cars and civilian property," he said.
