Finland handed over combat boats to Ukraine free of charge, which will be delivered in transit through Romania. This was reported by the Yle with reference to Romanian media.
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis told the Romanian parliament on Monday that he had approved the transit of military boats donated by Finland to Ukraine through Romania. However, the number and type of boats transferred were not disclosed.
The Romanian head of state also approved the training of about 50 Ukrainian servicemen in Romania, who will be trained how to use these boats.
The Finnish Navy has Jehu-class amphibious assault ships and Jurmo and Uisko-class transport ships, but the Finnish authorities do not disclose the content of the military aid package handed over to Ukraine.
