Russia has reduced its military presence in Belarus to 12 thousand, - Demchenko

Russian troops currently have no opportunity to carry out a second invasion from Belarus, said Andriy Demchenko, a spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, explaining that there is no powerful enemy group in the republic. During the telethon, he emphasized that the Russians had withdrawn their contingent from Belarus - 10 to 12 thousand troops who were at training grounds, conducting training and exercises.

"And after the Russian Federation withdrew them to the territory of its state, it did not bring in new ones as part of the rotations. That is, in fact, there is no such powerful grouping of Russian troops on the territory of Belarus that could pose a threat to Ukraine," added Demchenko.

The defenders continue to strengthen the border line and the border area in preparation to repel any possible attacks.
