Ukraine is increasing the scale of production of means of electronic warfare, - Ihnat

Since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has been using electronic warfare (EW) against missiles and drones, and is now increasing the production and deployment of such equipment. This was stated by a representative of the Air Force Command, Yuriy Ihnat, during a telethon.

The serviceman emphasized that it is now very important to use EW to suppress enemy targets in order to protect both troops and settlements.

"This is how the Defense Forces work in different directions. We can't go into much detail about the work of EW. Usually, we briefly report that some of the missiles that are not included in the statistics of those shot down could have been suppressed by electronic warfare," said Ihnat.

He noted that the issue of building up EW will always be relevant, as this is the future.

According to the representative of the Air Force, Ukraine needs to develop electronic warfare capabilities against FPV drones, and we need more powerful stations to prevent missiles from hitting.

As for the actual quality of Russian missiles, experts say that it is getting worse and worse, says Yuriy Ihnat. Sometimes it is possible to obtain surviving missile fragments.

"Missiles without EW have been landed and examined more than once. A missile does not always explode when it falls. It can also fall by itself...," said the Air Force representative.

According to him, when it is possible to obtain the surviving fragments of a Russian missile, they are studied by experts and handed over to our Western partners for research.
