The Ukrainian Armed Forces do not confirm the information about the use of ballistic missiles from the DPRK during the shelling of Ukraine

The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot yet confirm the information that Russia used ballistic missiles from North Korea during the shelling of Ukraine. Speaker Yuriy Ihnat said this during a telethon.

"So far, we have no data that such a missile (from the DPRK) was used. But the statement was from the United States, so experts will study some debris, and then we can say whether there is such a fact or not. I cannot confirm this yet," Ihnat said.

At the same time, he does not believe that it will be more difficult for the air defense forces to shoot down ballistic missiles from Iran or North Korea, as there are no new technologies there.

"You know about the strong cooperation between these countries in the military-industrial complex. In fact, the weapons they have, if we take North Korea, athere is a lot of Soviet stuff there. Many technologies were transferred by the Soviet Union. So we can hardly expect anything new there. Iskander may be different in some ways, but not too much," Ihnat said.

As we reported earlier, the United States believes that Russia has already used ballistic missiles from North Korea to strike Ukraine.
