New terms of military support: US reduces aid to Ukraine

The Pentagon says it will continue to supply Ukraine with military aid. The size of the packages will be reduced. This was announced during a briefing by Deputy Spokesperson for the US Department of Defense Sabrina Singh.

"We will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine, but in smaller amounts. This is due to the fact that Congress has not yet allocated additional funds. We urge the Congress to pass the President's request so that we can continue to provide Ukraine with the necessary assistance," Singh said.

She reminded that more than 95% of the $62.3 billion allocated by the US to Ukraine has already been spent. The remaining $1 billion is in reserves.

According to her, Ukraine expects support from other countries.

"Last month, allies and partners met in the Ramstein format to discuss assistance to Ukraine. Another meeting will be held in mid-November to discuss further steps. Allies and partners will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine, including military assistance," the US Department of Defense spokesperson said.
