The Ministry of Defense optimizes the terms of Ukrainian weapons deliveries to the frontline

Ukrainian-made weapons will get to the front faster. During the war, the production cycle and testing process were simplified. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Telegram.

As noted, since November 1, the Ministry of Defense has significantly reduced the terms of delivery of equipment and weapons to the Armed Forces. Now, the manufacturer will determine the technical parameters by which it will deliver products to the customer. The military only agrees on the list of parameters (previously, the military prescribed a significant list of these characteristics in the technical specifications).

Deputy Defense Minister Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk added that unnecessary tests have been canceled and the number of inspections has been reduced. Changes have also been introduced to ensure that Ukrainian weapons reach the troops faster.

In particular, the requirement for a 10-year warranty period for weapons was canceled. During wars, weapons from the assembly lines go straight to the front, so shelf life indicators do not matter.

Now, the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces will insist on confirmation of three factors: the effectiveness of the equipment, its safety for personnel, and reliability in operation. The manufacturer is responsible for the quality of the weapon, testing, and all supply risks.
