US Republican senators are proposing a bill to split aid to Israel and Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal reports.
A group of Republican senators has introduced a separate bill that would direct billions of dollars in aid to Israel, but not to Ukraine.
"My colleagues and I strongly believe that any aid to Israel should not be used as leverage to send tens of billions of dollars to Ukraine," said Senator Roger Marshall.
"This bill is about one thing, and one thing only: getting our Israeli allies the help they need as soon as possible," added Senator Ted Cruz.
It is worth noting that earlier Republicans threatened to block Biden's request to allocate an additional $106 billion for Ukraine and Israel at the Senate stage, where they are in the minority.
