Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has confirmed his country's final decision not to open the border to imports of Ukrainian grain. In a post on Twitter, Morawiecki emphasized that Poland will not allow the import of Ukrainian grain, regardless of the decision of EU officials.
"Poland will not allow us to be flooded with Ukrainian grain. Regardless of the decision of Brussels officials, we will not open our borders," Morawiecki said.
The prime minister also emphasized that Poland has provided assistance to its neighbors, but "when it comes to fighting for Polish interests, only the Law and Justice government guarantees that the interests of our farmers will be protected."
Morawiecki noted that Poland is not going to open the border to import Ukrainian grain, and emphasized that this decision belongs only to the Poles.
"I will tell you how it will end: we will not open the border. They should take this into account, because it is up to the Poles to decide how things should be in our own home," the prime minister said.
