Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, commander of the Joint Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said that Ukraine has strengthened its air defense systems since last winter, which will increase the effectiveness of defense in case of possible Russian attacks. He reported this in Reuters.


Nayev emphasized that the Ukrainian military is aware that Russia may try to attack Ukraine's critical infrastructure to harm the country and its economy.


"Last winter we had fewer (air defense systems - ed.). Now we have more, and the effectiveness will be higher," Nayev said.
