Before an informal meeting of EU defense ministers in Spain, Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren posted on her social media page of the X social network, stating the following:
"Romania and the Netherlands have agreed to establish a base for training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets and the corresponding maintenance of these aircraft at one of the training centers in Romania."
The event is one of the steps towards creating a fully-fledged powerful aviation force in Ukraine based on NATO standards.
