Malyar: mass media are responsible for airstrikes on positions of military personnel

The media that revealed information about the movement of the 82nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the southern front are responsible for the air strikes carried out by Russian troops on the positions of the military. This was reported by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defence Hanna Malyar on Telegram.

As a reminder, Forbes published an article on 15 August, which reported that the 82nd Separate Air Assault Brigade (Chernivtsi) had been deployed to the southern front near Robotyne. According to Malyar, such headlines cost the military five air strikes a day.

"The price of the headlines about where the 82nd Brigade was moved to in the south is five air strikes on the brigade per day," Malyar wrote.

She stressed that the dissemination of such unauthorised information entails criminal liability under Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code, which can result in five to eight years in prison.
