Situation near Kupyansk is difficult, but there are solutions for defense - Syrskyi

Commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on the situation at the frontline. The enemy is actively attacking in the Kupyansk direction, trying to capture Kupyansk. Together with the commanders, decisions were made to strengthen the defense.

"Following the results of work with the commanders in this direction, a number of important decisions were made that will ensure the reliability of defense," the commander noted.

The enemy is regrouping in the Lyman direction, but the colonel general sees this as a chance to improve the position of the troops.

"Our task is to make the most of this situation and significantly improve our position. My commanders and I worked out the necessary decisions directly in the combat zone," said the commander.

The enemy continues counterattacks and shelling in the Bakhmut direction, but the situation is under control. Colonel General discussed with the brigade commanders measures for effective offensive actions.

"With the commanders of the brigades fighting in the Bakhmut direction, we discussed urgent issues of increasing the effectiveness of offensive actions, fire damage to the enemy and a number of other measures aimed at achieving victory over the enemy," writes Syrskyi.

Syrskyi also expressed confidence in the rapid defeat of the enemy and the return of national flags to the country's borders.
