Swedish company SKF confirmed attack on its factory in Lutsk during night shelling

Swedish bearing company SKF has announced that its plant in Lutsk, Ukraine, was hit by a Russian missile on the night of Tuesday, August 15, Reuters reports.


SKF spokesman Karl Björnstam confirmed the incident: "Last night, there was an attack on the city of Lutsk, and our factory was damaged during this attack... We are very sad to confirm that three of our colleagues were killed."


He also noted that the company is currently investigating the consequences of the attack and the damage to the plant, but the main focus is on the safety and well-being of its employees.


SKF is one of the largest industrial bearing manufacturers in the world. In Ukraine, the company employs about 1,100 people, most of whom work at its plant in Lutsk.
