The occupiers continue to mine the Zaporizhzhуа nuclear power plant and facilities on the territory of the plant. Mines and explosives are currently being delivered to the territory of the ZNPP, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense reports.
As reported by the GUR, mine-explosive barriers, consisting of remotely controlled and uncontrolled anti-personnel mines of the directional type, have been installed in the technical premises and in the engine rooms.
"Mostly, mines of the directional type of Soviet models are used: MON-50, MON-90, MON-100, MON-200," the intelligence reported.
The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, told Reuters that the danger of a Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhуа nuclear power plant is receding, but it could easily return as long as the facility remains under Russian occupation.
International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi said on Friday that the IAEA had made "progress" in inspecting several parts of the Zaporizhzhуа nuclear power plant in Ukraine following claims that it had been mined.
