As part of its broad counteroffensive, Ukraine intensified its attacks in the Bakhmut region of Donetsk region.
The British Ministry of Defense reported this on Twitter.
According to British intelligence, during the operation involving several brigades, Ukrainian forces made progress on both the northern and southern flanks of the city.
"There is little evidence that Russia has any significant operational reserves of land forces that could be used to bolster countermeasures against the multiple threats it now faces in sectors far apart from each other, from Bakhmut to the east bank of the Dnipro River, over 200 km," the British Ministry of Defense notes.
