The Commission of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy completed the inventory and acceptance of the property of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Now the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate must return the property to the Lavra Reserve within 3 working days. This was announced by the Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko on his Telegram page.
"Now, after the Conservancy has sent a demand to the UOC MP for immediate release, termination of use and return of its property to the Conservancy, the latter must do so within 3 working days from the day of receipt," Tkachenko noted.
It is noted that the commission has inspected and is returning 79 objects to the use of the state. Everyone is in a different state.
"Unauthorized reconstruction, extension, re-planning of monuments of cultural heritage and construction of new buildings on the territory of the Reserve have been allowed," said the head of the Ministry of Culture.
According to Tkachenko, on June 5, an act was signed on the transfer of objects of state property to the reserve. After that, a demand was sent to the MPU to immediately vacate the premises of the Lavra.
If this does not happen, the reserve will go to court to ensure access to all the property of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the head of the Ministry of Culture said.
In May, the commission of the Ministry of Culture transferred 16 buildings, which are in satisfactory condition, to the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" for use.
