Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrid Šimonite calls for abandoning the taboo on the issue of military aid supplies to Ukraine and providing the country's armed forces with fighter jets and long-range missiles.
She said this at a meeting of prime ministers of the Baltic states in Tallinn, Estonia, LRT reports.
"While defending freedom, we should not think about the taboo on military aid... We should help Ukraine win the war. This is the only way to a stable world, to prevent a new war in Europe," Shimonite emphasized.
Earlier, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda called for Ukraine to receive modern combat aircraft and long-range cruise missiles.
The day before, the British authorities officially confirmed the transfer of long-range Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine.
